We were very happy to read your letter. On November 9th you had a birthday, you were 14 years old, so we would like to wish you a lot of health, love and success at school.
First of all we would like to introduce ourselves. There are two parts of our school in Dobřichovice, the primary school for the children of the age 6 -10, and the lower secondary school where the children are 11 - 16 years old. We are teachers from the lower secondary school.
Our school visit about 450 students. They study many subjects like czech, english, german, french, social education, history, geography, biology, maths, physics, chemistry, physical education, computer science, arts and musical appreciation. We would like to know, if you have also subject computer science or working with computer and if you have possibility to connect to internet.
You can find our small country Czech Republic in the centre of Europe. There are 10 million inhabitants in the Czech Republic. The capital city is Prague with about 1 million people. Our village Dobrichovice is situated at the both banks of Berounka river, 20 km from Prague, 205 metres above sea level. There are 3000 people living here in Dobrichovice.
Nowadays, in November, weather in Czech Republic is unkind, temperature is about 5 degrees Celsius, it already snows in the mountains. It starts winter season, when it will snow very often here. In the mountains (Snezka is the higher - 1602 metres above sea level) snow lays from November to April, in lowlands is snowy just in January and February. In summer is hot here, the temperature is about 30 degrees Celsius. In July and August chlidren have summer holidays.
